snow SNOW

These are some photos that I took last week when we got our first real snow of the season. The last one was just a dusting that I was really excited about.

The first three are all about the lines that this kind of weather brings out.  I have never really noticed all of the lines that are all around in nature.  In the summer they are camouflaged with leaves and greens.  With snow they are highlighted.  I love how insane the lines the first photo are, and how orderly the lines of the apple tree (4th photo) are.  Of course I had to include the obligatory photo of Gracie.

I spent the day knitting, and watching "White Christmas" (it's on Netflix!). It's apparently going to snow up to 14 inches tonight, and I'm feeling very meh about that. I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't have to be at work at 6 or 7 am. I hope my manager calls to let me know if I need to go in and what time, I am so anxious not knowing what's going to happen! Here's to hoping you all are enjoying your weather, whatever it may be.

  1. I've never seen snow fall, so I am incredibly scared by the act that it might snow up to 14 inches for you.... AHH that seems like a ton!

I love the last picture of the snow bearded dog. He does not look like he is into it much, though.

  2. Thankfully it only snowed a few inches and getting to work was fairly easy! Last season we got over two feet http://meoimagery.blogspot.com/2013/02/snow-day.html

And Gracie is actually obsessed with snow, it's funny, she prances and skids around in it. I was holding her ball when I took that picture, I think that's why she looks so transfixed, haha!

  3. Oh my gosh your dog's name is gracie!? So is my little brown poodle-cross. She looks kind of similar, too! (here she is ---> http://www.thisanalogadventure.com/2013/12/first-snow.html).

anyways, gorgeous photos! Snow is so beautiful. We probably have 2 feet of it now...it snowed about 10cm last night alone. Pretty crazy driving weather this morning! haha,

  4. That is awesome! Do you know what she is mixed with? Gracie just got into bed with me, haha. We actually adopted her and didn't name her, but I think the name goes perfectly with her. I actually have a tumblr devoted to her if you want to see more, I haven't updated it lately http://meandgracie.tumblr.com/

I think that your snow is coming over here because we are getting around 3-5 inches tomorrow. I think that's around 10cm ;) But if you're in Ottawa you're probably getting snow today/tomorrow as well.

  5. she's a Burmese mountain dog and poodle cross. We also adopted her....but her name was rosie, and we have a close family friend with a dog already named rosie, so we changed it to Gracie. She didn't seem to notice haha. That is such a cute Tmblr, so many photos! haha.
